Understanding and Managing Hypervolemia in Heart Failure

SelectCourse CourseDetails ReviewMaterials PrintCertificate

Hypervolemia increases symptoms and reduces functional status and quality of life. Further, hypervolemia is associated with morbidity and mortality. Hypervolemia is often difficult to assess as signs may not be sensitive and patients may not recognize symptoms. Devices have been developed to objectively assess hypervolemia in the lung area or hemodynamically. This session discusses the pathology of hypervolemia, assessment (subjective and objective) and management.
