This session will focus on heart failure physiology though the lens of cardiac dysfunction leading to heart failure;  and the subsequent, maladaptive compensatory mechanisms that present opportunities guiding current, and novel, therapeutic considerations.

  • Discuss relationship of cardiac injury leading to heart failure and the maladaptive compensatory response.
  • Discuss the targeted approach of heart failure therapeutics to address the maladaptive response.
