Learning Outcomes

• Recognize characteristics of patients with heart failure who should be considered for advanced heart failure therapies such as cardiac transplant. 
• Identify the general lab and diagnostic testing and absolute contraindications for heart transplantation. 
• Describe the maintenance of patients who are currently on the cardiac transplant list. 
• Explain the purpose of immunosuppression and the monitoring required for patients post-transplant.
