The purpose of this webinar is to broaden the heart failure nurses’ understanding of the prevalence, incidence, potential etiologies, pathophysiology, and assessment and intervention strategies for patients with heart failure and cognitive dysfunction. This webinar will provide an overall understanding of the impact of this complex, chronic condition within the heart failure population.
Learner Outcomes:
- Describe the prevalence and incidence of cognitive dysfunction among patients with heart failure.
- Explain potential etiologies of cognitive dysfunction in heart failure and the associated pathophysiological alterations.
- Describe assessments for patients with heart failure whose care is complicated by cognitive dysfunction.
